The thing about being a good writer is that you can write something horrific and yet the reader is still fascinated and unwillingly sympathetic. Granted we have this image of Dean we keep in our minds but it was quickly replaced by the portrait you were drawing of this Dean. Fascinating, vivid and compelling in it's darkness.
