Well, folks, here it is: commonly believed to be the first piece of realworld Shatner/Nimoy fic on the Internet. I'm reposting it here from trek_rpf_kink, where it started life as a response to the following prompt:

Shatner/Nimoy, series-era.
Prompt: Bill has never considered himself to be a lover of men, but there's something in Leonard's smooth voice and smile that dares him to reconsider. Illicit, semi-drunken sex ensues! :D

The prompt is a fair description of the story, frankly, so let me just add the usual rubbish:

*shuffles* All right, so - this is an angst-fest. I warn you. Includes more references to actual events than I'm used to, notably marriage-related difficulties and children. I was hit by a bolt of inspiration by a comment made by starcrossedgirl on halotolerant's latest fic, below. The episode vaguely referred to here is The Way To Eden.

Okay, guys, come on. I don't want to swamp this community, but I keep posting things on trek_rpf_kink, leaving them there anonymously for two days, and then withdrawing my sense of shame and putting them here. Interested parties have probably therefore read this before, but nevertheless, I thought it best to include it for the sake of completion.

This is pure, unadulterated crack. I warn you now. It's not even the crack I was planning to write, but there it is.

Doesn't quite fulfil everything up to the last part of the prompt, but that's the gist of it. Why exactly did both gentlemen claim not to remember their first meeting on the U.N.C.L.E. set?
