Man, this is a flavor of Sassy that I really hate. Mostly because if I'm honest with myself, it's the most realistic depiction of a Sam/Cas relationship. Breaks my heart! Don't take that the wrong way, most of my favorite pieces involve something that I hate in some way. I'm an admitted masochist. I love dark, angsty, unrequited stories that make me want to weep. This was lovely and I especially like:
"Above all, their compassion for each other is immense, and when they kiss languidly after, it is often Cas that Sam is kissing."
I like that they can only go to each other with their needs, because only the other will understand. :'(
