I have no idea what I think; I watched it half an hour after having Misha smile at me full-beam, and my brain was still too busy flailing in post-orgasmic fangirl bliss to allow anything more than the most basic comprehension of the storyline.

Gonna rewatch tomorrow, but I'm not sanguine.

I did hate it, I absolutely loathed it on first watch, but I'm not feeling quite so bad about it now. I have been talked around to how this leaves things wide open for some good potential -- I'm just not sure if I trust them to exploit it properly. But I'm sure fandom will, over the summer. :)

I am putting my faith in the fact that Carver is an epic Samboy right now.
