Pick one of my fics, and I'll give you three details that didn't make it into the fic. Background canon, deleted scenes, or a look into the future. My choice, but if you have a specific question you can ask it in your request.
My terrifyingly straggly masterlist is here. And I think I need to actually divide it up by pairing instead of just having everything in chronological order and split into RPF/FPF. *cries at prospect*

Date: 2011-08-10 08:43 pm (UTC)1. I almost wrote a sequel to this fic, but I decided I didn't dare, because there was really only one way I wanted it to go. In my head, Dean does kill Castiel. He has to. That's what he does with the people he loves enough to want to keep with him. He strangles him with a piece of clothing.
2. Part of the reason that John was Dean's first kill in this 'verse is that, after Mary died, John just put far too much weight on Dean's shoulders, like in canon, but, unlike in canon, Dean couldn't cope. He obviously had a mental condition already and having so much responsibility just sent him completely off the rails. He couldn't openly admit to himself that he blamed John, but the delusion did it for him, turned this blame into a conviction that he had to kill John because it was the plan of the yellow-eyed man.
3. When he was a child, he hallucinated the yellow-eyed man fairly often, but was aware that he shouldn't tell anyone else that he could see him. He didn't want to scare Sam, but he would often be curled up around his brother in a narrow little motel bed, staring at the man on the other side of the room. As a very small child, he was mostly unaware that Sam would not be able to see the man if he happened to turn around, so would concentrate on making sure Sam fell asleep facing Dean so he wouldn't notice the man and be afraid.
